Understanding and Strengthening Member Engagement

Member engagement, motivation, and retention are topics in many chapter leaders’ minds. As we prepare to welcome New Member cohorts, transition another class to their last semesters of undergrad, and take on new course loads, you may ask yourself, “How can I keep members engaged in Alpha Xi Delta?”. Using strategies from T.J. Sullivan’s Motivating the Middle, this session will explore the root causes of why members feel disengaged, identify ways to tailor activities and events to meet member needs, address barriers to engagement and retention, and learn tools for building realistic member engagement expectations while working to motivate the middle third.
